We all have something that we’re dealing with that can seem heavy at times. Sometimes it’s just the day in and day out routines of life.  Other times it’s specific challenges as we move forward in our journey.  These trials can also provide opportunities to learn, grow and become stronger. The difficulty is not only the load but how we choose to carry it.  In these works on paper, I strive to embrace the idea of a positive determination to see challenges, difficulties and trials as part of life’s journey and an opportunity for personal reflection and growth.

This work is a monotype print part of a new series related to our interactions with others.Much of my work deals with attempting to find balance between people and situations and the images are meant to be positive. The background colors are not constrained by the boundary of the lines and attempt to reflect the strength, beauty and joy one can have even amid challenges. These new works seek to reflect gracefully working things out between others and finding equilibrium.
